Medical Alert Devices Part 2

To continue with the Part 1 blog about medical alert devices, there are stand alone systems that can be purchased that work the same way a home security system works. The difference is that the stand alone system only receives the emergency signal from the pendant and then sends the signal to the central station. It does not accept signals from or work with a security system. Stand alone systems can be purchased from the $200 range and the monthly monitoring from IAM is $11.77 per month. But, remember, an entire wireless DSC security system can be purchased for $199 and will work with the medical pendant.
